How To Test Your Pool
Pool Water Balance
To complete a full test of your swimming pool you will need to adhere to the Langelier Saturation Index as well as checking for the usual disinfectant and cyanuric Acid levels. This test determins whether the pool is corrosive or scale forming, both of which can cause severe problems for your pool and pool equipment.
The Langelier Saturation Index is formulated from 5 tests:
pH (acid / alkali)
Total Alkalinity (carbonates and bicarbonates)
Calcium Hardness (calcium content)
Temperature
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids)
